General information: Lublin is home to over 335,000 people. The city is very student-oriented and is home to five universities and more than ten private colleges. The private John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, founded in 1918, has about 20,000 students. Lublin is also known for its historic city center, which is the second largest in Poland after Krakow. In September, the "European Festival of Taste" is held annually in Lublin to showcase the multicultural heritage of the Lublin region.
Study programs and specializations: A so-called "M.A. Program" is offered, but this is not a master's degree, but a five-year program. In the first two years, basic knowledge is taught, and in the further three years, students can specialize in the following areas: a) clinical psychology, personality psychology, health psychology and psychotherapy, b) educational psychology, or c) marketing, management and environmental psychology.
Study schedule: The winter semester usually lasts from the beginning of October to the end of January, followed by examinations until mid-February. The summer semester usually starts in mid/end February and ends in mid/end June, followed by exams until the beginning of July.
Other Information: Erasmus students can take a Polish course free of charge, for which they receive 4 LP. This takes place four hours per week and is offered for both beginners and advanced students.
